  14 Some anxiety may be caused by a person’s past actions or failings. He may be plagued with guilt about something he did in the past, even many years ago. At times, King David felt that his ‘errors loomed over his head.’ He admitted: “My anguished heart makes me groan aloud.” (Ps. 38:3, 4, 8, 18) In that situation, what was the wise thing for David to do? What did he do? He trusted in Jehovah’s mercy and forgiveness. With conviction he said: “Happy is the one whose transgression is pardoned.”—Read Psalm 32:1-3, 5.

  But what about the other repentant adulterers and murderers in the nation of Israel? Did God show them mercy and forgiveness? Why do we not read of any ordinary Israelites not being shown mercy?

  
  

  Great comment from Blondie! God seems to forgive grave sins but somehow kills ordinary citizens for petty sins. Here are a few examples I found on COMMONSENSEATHEISM.COM

  In Judges 14:11-19, Samson loses a bet for 30 sets of clothes. The spirit of God comes upon him and he kills 30 men to steal their clothes and pay off the debt.

  In Deuteronomy 13:6-10, God commands that you must kill your wife, children, brother, and friend if they worship other gods.

  God incinerates 51 men to make a point.
  In 2 Kings 1:9-10, Elijah gets God to burn 51 men with fire from heaven to prove he is God.

  God kills a man for not impregnating his brother’s widow.
  In Genesis 38:9-10, God kills a man for refusing to impregnate his brother’s widow.

  Dear Brothers:

  This fine 3.5 hour has been reported to cause excessive daytime sleepiness. Brothers have fallen asleep without warning, anywhere, anytime. For example, you may suddenly nod off while listening to our brothers give monotone talks. You may sleep for a few minutes or up to a half-hour before awakening and feeling refreshed, but eventually you may fall asleep again.
  

  You also may experience decreased alertness throughout the day. Excessive daytime sleepiness usually is the first symptom to appear and is often the most troublesome, making it difficult for you to concentrate and fully function.

  We have a coffee station and wet towels for those who may need to wake up and get their brain back in working order.Please use only one towel per person!

  Sir 82: You were a former elder if my memory serves me right.Don't you think that this is the real reason the Society want young children and teens to get baptized so young?They want to control them if there are any normal teen problems and kick them out so the Society can supersede the parents?

  This paragraph really sums up the whole Watchtower study.It states that once you dedicate yourself in baptism,the Watchtower Society owns you for the rest of your life.You cannot undo your baptism!

  This paragraph uses Romans 14:7-12 to justify lies that the Society uses to scare every baptized member.They imply that you will be accountable to Jehovah and the congregation for any serious sins.Let's read Rom.14:7-12 and see what it really says and means.

  7For we don’t live for ourselves or die for ourselves. 8If we live, it’s to honor the Lord. And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9Christ died and rose again for this very purpose—to be Lord both of the living and of the dead.

  10So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11For the Scriptures say,

  “‘As surely as I live,’ says the lord,

  ‘every knee will bend to me,

  and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’”

  12Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. 13So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.
